What is SellYourZari?
SellYourZari is an online service in India that buys old zari sarees, dhothis and other zari textiles. You tell us what you have, get an estimate on WhatsApp, hand your items over at a doorstep courier pickup, and are paid the eligible amount once we have fully verified them.
What can I sell?
You can list zari sarees, dhothis, pattu pavadai / half sarees, pure zari angavastram and shawls, unstitched fabric and blouse material, loose zari borders and cut scraps, and silk suits and zari dupattas. Our team will verify the details on WhatsApp to assess eligibility before arranging a pickup.
How much will I receive?
We share an initial estimate after checking your details. The final eligible amount depends on full verification of the items we receive and may differ from the estimate.
Do I need to visit a store?
The process is designed around a doorstep courier pickup. Our team will confirm whether pickup is available at your address before arranging it.
Do I pay for pickup or returns?
No. Shipping is on us both ways. We pay for the doorstep pickup, and if you decide not to accept the eligible amount, we send your items back to your pickup address free of charge. Your items travel in a sealed, tamper-evident pouch with its own bag number, which our lab scans on arrival.
When do I get paid?
Payment happens after your items have been received and fully verified. Our team will explain the payment details as you proceed.
How can I tell if my saree has real zari?
Gently scratch a loose zari thread on the inside of the border. Silvery white underneath usually means real silver zari; reddish or copper coloured means tested zari; colour that rubs off like paint suggests metallic zari. Only a proper test can confirm it, which is why we verify every item after pickup.
